Rites held for Marki Mask
Myra Kay “Marki” (Rhyne) Mask, a longtime resident of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2026, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 13 days.
Marki was born on July 19, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Allie Gayle Antie and Kathryn (Rodgers) Rhyne. She graduated from high school in Lubbock, Texas, in 1955 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from the University of North Texas State. She began her career as a Home Economics teacher at Plano High School.
On March 28, 1959, Marki married the love of her life, Travis David Mask. Together, they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and service. Marki devoted herself to her home and family, lovingly raising her children.
She was an active member of the Methodist Church in Coalgate, where she sang in the choir and frequently performed solos for friends and loved ones. She also contributed her time and dedication as a member of the building committee that helped construct the church sanctuary.
Marki found joy in cooking—especially baking homemade bread—and had a special fondness for orchids. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Travis David Mask, of the home in Ada, Oklahoma; her daughters, Vicki Mask of Ada, Oklahoma, and Kelli Kerns and husband David of Bryan, Texas; her grandsons, Cody Kerns and wife Lindley of Edmond, Oklahoma, Dawson Kerns and wife Shelly of Winnsboro, Louisiana, and Jimmy Kerns of Vilseck, Germany; her great-grandchildren, Lucia, Benjamin, and Clayton; and her siblings, Ruth Wagnon, Allie Rhyne, Mary Rhyne (wife of John Rhyne), and Steve Rhyne and wife Briggie, all of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Becky Orsini and husband Tony of Sachse, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie Gayle Antie and Kathryn (Rodgers) Rhyne; her stepmother, Dahlia Ellen (Wright) Rhyne; and her brother, John T. Rhyne.
