Constance Chapman Passes Away

Posted in:

Constance Marie Jeanne Chapman, age 89, passed away peacefully in Atoka, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family.

Constance was born on February 21, 1936, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Cecile and Laurent Jutras. She was of the Catholic faith and lived her life guided by kindness, service, and devotion to family.

On January 4, 1971, she married the love of her life, Tony Chapman, in Columbus, Ohio. They shared 18 wonderful years together before his passing.

Constance enjoyed reading and giving back to her community through volunteering at the food pantry in Calvin, Oklahoma. She worked for many years at the Stuart Motel, where she truly enjoyed her time and the people she worked with. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, whom she loved deeply.

Constance is survived by her three children: Christine Hensley; Nancy Nostro and her husband Frank; and Steven Chapman. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jeremy Hensley, Edward Nostro, Haylee Anderson and her husband Dillon, Anthony Chapman, and Cortnei Chapman. Above all, her greatest joy-her “favorite people”-were her greatgrandchildren, Maddux and Maybree Anderson, who truly “hung the moon” in her eyes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tony Chapman; her parents, Cecile and Laurent Jutras; and her three brothers, Laurent Jutras, Raymond Jutras, and Maurice Jutras.

There are no planned services at this time.
