Threads of Life
Lloyd C. Douglas once wrote a beautiful book entitled Keys to the Kingdom. It is a book about one’s self image as part of God’s Universe. It was a best seller at the time. I read the book twice.
I have often wondered about my part in the universe. My universe was and is represented by what I can view, by what I can do and by what I can accomplish.
Our file and accomplishments are viewed a lot by what we possess; what we keep around us and by almost all of our actions. Do we ever think that of all the things we own, possess and work with are governed by a set of keys? We try to keep these keys with us at all times and go into a panic when they are lost.
The mold in which a key is made would be a strange thing if you had never seen a key, and the key itself is a strange thing if you had never seen a lock. Do you realize that of the millions of keys that are in existence, a key will only fit and unlock one lock? I have a drawer where I pitch old keys and there are literally hundreds of keys in that drawer. I do not have a clue as to what they will unlock. I do know that some of those
