The Mustangs overcame a 4-point deficient with a minute left to claim the victory. Garrett Nix led the Mustangs with 16 points and Brayden Tatum added 14. Stonewall was 1521 free throws while the Mustangs hit 5 of 9 attempts.

Tuesday the teams made another trip to Stratford, this time to play the hosts. The teams split with the girls falling 4842 overtime loss and the men earned the 69-41 win.

It was a slow start for the Lady Mustangs scoring 11 points in the first half. The third quarter the Allen offense made up for it by outscoring Stratford 19-8 and ended regulation at a 40-40 tie. Allen had a balanced scoring attack with six player scoring. Woodward led the rebound category with 8. We are starting to get in basketball shape, getting up and down the floor,” said Coach Mills.
