Allen’s Senior Night for Mustang football, band and cheerleaders was held prior to the Hartshorne football game on October 27th. Students honored were . . .

Elmer Garcia is the son of Luis Garcia and Martha Garcia and is the lone senior band member this year. He has attended Allen Schools for the past six years. Elmer plays the alto saxophone and is also the drum major for the band. His favorite memory of the band was the time the band got locked out of the band room at a basketball game and it was pouring down rain, “We had to find someone with a key to let us in—we were soaking wet.” Elmer’s future plans include attending college at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology to become a diesel mechanic and to own his own shop in the future.

Malloree Howard is the daughter of Chris and Kierra Howard. She has attended Allen Schools since Pre-K and has two sisters. She has been a member of the cheer team for all four years of high school.

Her favorite memory of cheer was that one time when she flipped and accidentally kicked Aniston in the face. Malloree plans to attend Murray State College to obtain her associate degree, then transfer to Oklahoma State University to complete her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.

Julie Johnson is the daughter of Dawneve and Chris Johnson. She has attended Allen Schools since 1st grade and has two siblings. Julie has been a member of the cheer team for three years. Her favorite cheer memory was winning the All-American Award. Her future plans include attending college and becoming a cardiovascular sonographer.

Ava Laden is the daughter of Richard and Stacy Laden and has two sisters. She has attended Allen Schools since Pre-k. Ava plays centerfield and wears the #11. Ava says her favorite memory of softball happened last year when Maebrey was playing catcher, and she was spinning around looking for the ball. While this was happening Coach Slabaugh was continuously yelling “Maebrey, it’s in your glove.” Ava’s future plans are to attend Murray State College to become a physical therapy assistant.

Lilly Matthews is the daughter of Tasha and Kanan Matthews and has two brothers. Lilly has attended Allen Schools since Pre-K. She wears the number 23 and plays left field for the Lady Mustangs. Lilly’s most memorable moment was when Addy was trying to turn off the water after watering the field. She ended up breaking the pipe which in turn flooded half of the field. Her future plans are to attend Northeastern Oklahoma College for her basics, then transfer to get her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Olivia Wallace is the daughter of Jennifer Holder and has three siblings. She has attended Allen Schools for the past 12 years and has been a cheerleader for two years. Her most memorable moment for cheer was when Isabel and she were attempting a one-man stunt. They failed and Isabel accidentally dropped her on her face. Olivia’s future plans include graduating from PTC with her cosmetology certification and continuing a career in Cosmetology.
