Woke Taliban
What in the heck is a Woke Taliban? These newest protestors now rampaging and terrorizing America. The term “WOKE” refers to “social awareness.” While the name Taliban refers to the Afghanistan’s who fought (with US aid) against the Russians during that conflict.
To help understand “WOKE” you might think of those who believe that “THEY” are in control. A few people believe that no matter the issue there is a secret “they” committee somewhere running things. For instance, when I was in the Navy, we were often given orders by our officers like this: “They don’t want you guys to be out of uniform.” The WOKE bunch says things like “They don’t want you to know.”
Woke Taliban guys like to sound like deep thinkers when they are just following a trend. A politically “correct” mob dictates their behavior. Woke Taliban went on a rampage in recent years destroying statues and shrines and items of culture and history across the Middle East. Looks a lot like what we are seeing here in our America. Liberal politicians here in the US have long seen the use of racism as a means of gaining electoral offices. My late Grandpa Armstrong once renamed a highly educated neighbor thusly: “He has been educated beyond his intelligence.” It is exactly how he would label today’s Woke Taliban.
The Wokes we see around will eventually discover a place called Mt. Rushmore up in South Dakota. Rushmore, a popular national monument in the Black Hills has carved out on its faces the likeness of President’s Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, and Teddy Roosevelt. First, the faces are carved out on Indian Land. The Sioux never did like ‘em and went around the corner and are in the act of carving a bigger image of Chief Crazy Horse—one of their favorite chiefs. All in all, it makes for a good tourist attraction and brings in a lot of money. But you can be sure the Woke Taliban as well as some Sioux, want it dynamited down. And down it will come, eventually.
Just like the war monuments around Washington, DC. And too, in scores of our larger cities and the Confederate Statues across the south lands. If not just now, then soon. Since the startup of Black Lives Matter and other civil disobedience groups, some Democrats have jumped on this bandwagon as just another source of owning power over others. And they are doing good with it. What will be the result of this phenomenal wave of lawlessness to Americans? Who can possibly know? What will be the effect on those registered Democrats of the country, who do not approve of all this? Well, as a solitary legally registered Democrat myself, perhaps I will finally get up the resolve and energy needed to take a political hike and rename myself. Have not decided what just yet.
We do not hear the names of Martin Luther King or a guy named Gandhi since these “riots” started. Both men spoke against violence to achieve political change. Politics in Western Civilization have not ever been too ruffled by violence but have been by peaceful protest. That is why both Gandhi and King were successful. The outrageous acts we see now in the US will not work. Not without destruction of the freedom of thought that we now enjoy.
It may be safe to define the Antifa people as racist themselves and to include BLM as thugs—by their behavior. And then may we say they are what they say they are, WOKETALIBAN as they resort to violence and gangsterism to rip the country to pieces? What can the “people” do? Well, we are not totally helpless here. We can still outvote ‘em. It would be easy to just sit at home this November and take a hands-off attitude but that would just be rolling over.
Our country is more than worth saving. It’s what we have. So what if you don’t like either candidate? You’ll hear a lot of that. So, are we beat anyway we turn? That is up to us, isn’t it?
Anyway, be sure and go to church this Sunday.
