The Mustang football team will finally return home this week to face the team from Mounds. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m. This is a district contest.

CCarlos 1/35 yards Punts B Garrett 3/33-yard average tough Talihina team. Allen fell 27-8 to the district foe. Talihina scored once in each quarter owning a 27 lead until Kayd Bell crossed the goal on a 3-yard run. Bell and Bodee Garrett connected on the 2-point conversion.

This week Mounds brings their 2-2 record to Allen, they fell last week 22-18 to district opponent Gore. They picked up wins over Okmulgee and Kellyville in their first 2 games of the season. They then dropped the next one to Okemah and then Gore.

Mounds features a high scoring offense, but they can eat up the clock and keep the ball out of their opponents’ hands. They average 109 yards on the ground and 82 in the air.

The Mustangs suffered some bumps and bruises in the last game, so some of the starters are questionable for this weeks game.
