Noah Bray found the endzone again for Allen on a 10-yard pass from Garrett. Mounds answered again running their lead to 30-18 at the end of the third quarter. Allen scored 2 times in the fourth a 1-yard run from Carlos and a 9-yard run from Cayser Nickell. The very important 2-point conversion on Carlos’s run was successful. Allen took the 32-30 lead and held on after Mounds had a couple of attempts at the endzone that fell short. “It’s great to get that first win under our belts, plus it was very important district game, I can’t say enough of how proud we are of the team and coaches. It took them all to bring home this win,” said Coach Elerick.

This Thursday, yes Thursday…Allen travels to Wewoka for a 7 p.m. kick. It’s another district contest. Wewoka hasn’t gotten their first win yet, but don’t count them out. Wewoka always seems to feature some great athletes that can break free at any moment. The Mustangs will have shut down their running game.
