Mustang Men Defeat Keota Look to Weleetka Friday
The Allen men brought home their 30th district championship home after an 81-44 win over Keota on our home floor Saturday. The Mustangs were very efficient on the offensive side of the game hitting 70% of the 2 point field goals, 35% from three-point land and a perfect 4 for 4 at the charity stripe. Allen also held a huge advantage on the glass pulling down 33 rebounds and had 26 assists! The difference in the game may have been the Mustangs dominance in the paint outscoring Keota 50-10 from close range. “We had a pretty good game, we found the open man and he connected,” said Coach Greg Mills.
Next up for Allen (18-5) is a game Friday night in the Allen gym with Weleetka(10-5). The Outlaws enter the game with a district championship against Porum 52-40. A win there sends Allen to Indianola for a Monday night game with the winner of the #3 Rattan Rams vs Riverfield. Losers of the Thursday night game will head to Indianola Saturday night 7:30 tip.
