A drug raid was conducted last Thursday, April 17th, by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics assisted by the Hughes County Sheriff’s office, and the Drug Enforcement Agency, on the XLY, LLC grow facility located on 145 Road in Atwood.

The raid was conducted following weeks of investigation into the information that the facility was licensed under a “straw owner”, an American citizen paid to claim ownership of the business. Under law, ownership must be at least 75% by a legal resident.

Over 4000 plants were recovered but no one was at the facility and no arrests were made at the time. The investigation is ongoing and arrests are pending.
