gave up 4 hits. Kayla Nickell and Stoney Culley each had 2 hits for Allen. Prentice and Cully also stole multiple bases. Khloe Goodson also had a double in the game. Bowerman and Davis each had a triple Healton proved to be too strong for Allen winning 9-1. Bowerman and Davis teamed up in the circle. Caityn Williams had 2 hits in the game, while Nickell stole 2 bases.
Monday Maysville came to town for a marathon 11 inning game. The Lady Mustangs outhit Maysville 7-4 but could string together enough hits to put the game away. Stephens started the game in the circle pitching 5 innings giving up 1 run and striking out 6. Woodward came in and pitched a 6-inning shutout giving up 4 hits and striking out 4. Bowerman and Prentice had 3 hits in the contest while Davis and Culley each had RBI sacrifices. The Lady Mustangs went into the 11-inning knotted at 1. Maysville worked into a bases loaded situation with 1 out. The ball was hit to Stephens at 3 who threw it home for the force out and Bowerman gunned out the runner at first to end the inning. Prentice opened the 11 inning with a single. Davis hits a hard grounder to second and Prentice advanced to 3rd. Culley bunts into a fielder’s choice and Prentice raced home to secure the win.
The week will end at the Asher Tournament. Allen opens at 3:20 against the Wewoka/ Macomb winner. A win there gives them a trip back on Friday at 12:40 against the Wayne/ Stratford winner. Finals of the tournament will be Saturday staring at 2 p.m. Tuesday the team will travel to Coalgate.
