Lady Mustangs Gaining Momentum Through Strong Scrimmage Play Allen, OK – As the softball season approaches, the Allen Lady Mustangs are showing early signs of a competitive and energized squad, thanks to a series of strong scrimmage performances against top-tier competition.

“We’ve had some pretty good scrimmages so far,” said the new Coach Sam Ackerman. “I’ve felt like we’ve gotten better every game.”

Unlike in previous years, Allen raised the bar during preseason by scrimmaging against larger schools and programs expected to make deep runs into their respective state tournaments.

“We stepped up our competition. These are schools that expect to compete at the highest level,” the coach said. “That’s the kind of preparation we want heading into the season.”
