In the Public Works meeting Woodward stated they have been repairing 3 or 4 water or sewer leaks a week. He expressed a need for more cut-off valves around town, right now a leak repair almost always means a city-wide water cutoff. The drought has caused the ground to shift and causing leaks. Three fire hydrants are scheduled to be replaced sometime this month. The sewer plant has been besieged by a family of beavers who have damaging the pumps by filling them with sticks to try to dam the water up. Traps have been set and local hunter captured the first one this weekend.
