Celebrate Independence
Saturday evening - Downtown Allen and the Allen Park will be the place to be for our Annual Freedom Celebration. The weatherman has promised a little cooler weather for the day and we will take advantage of it. The parade will start at 5:00. Line up at the park will begin at 4:45 and will wind downtown in front of the Baptist Church, the main block of Broadway and return back after a u-turn at Wally’s garage. Parade entries will be judged for prizes 1st place - $30; 2nd Place $20 and 3rd Place $10 for categories
•Tractors • Cars • UTV/ ATV • Kids •Golf Carts and Miscellaneous Waterslide open 5:30 at the park. The Chickasaw Nation is sponsoring the Waterslide. The Pool will open at 6:00. Hot dog and drink free dinner starts at 6 Mr &Ms Independence Day (best dressed) can win $50 each for Mr. Independence and Mrs. Independence, Little Mister Independence and Little Miss Independence, meet us at the basketball court After that contest the games will start at the tennis court, Hula Hoop contest, sack races, 3 legged races, egg races, turtle races. There will be prizes for the winners of those games. RCB band will be performing .
Wrap up at park and move to softball field 9:15ish for the fireworks which will happen around 9:30-9:45. All events, pool, waterslide and hot dog meal are FREE There will be a sno cone truck and Lemonade stand there to purchase a cool treat. Other vendors may be added as the day approaches.
REMEMBER it is going to be hot bring a chair and something extra to drink
