Alumni Weekend Kicks off Friday

Posted in:

It’s time for all Mustangs to return home and reconnect with classmates and old friends. The annual Allen Alumni Weekend is, as always, Father’s Day weekend with activities set for Friday and Saturday, June 13th and 14th.

Golf Scramble ’25 will be held at the McAlester Country Club (1500 County Club Road, McAlester). Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. with Tee Time at 8:30. Entry fee for the 4-Man Teams will be $80 per person with payout based on the number of teams entered. Prizes will be awarded for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Mulligans are $5 each and are unlimited.

For more information call or text Heath Baber at (580) 272-3373 or Cody Wainscott at (580) 272-7300. There is an 18-team limit and it will first come first serve; teams will be accepted until the limit is met.

Friday activities continue with the Jimmy Nix & Doug Stinson Street Dance. Music by RCB Band begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen City Park. Remember to bring your lawn chair! The swimming pool will open at 7 for a free swim. Probably need to bring some mosquito spray for the evening.

Saturday morning begins at 9:00 a.m. with the Nancy McDougal Pancake Breakfast. Serving is in the Allen School Cafeteria.

At 2:00 p.m., also in the cafeteria, is set for the Rosie Postoak Burgers & Bingo. Always a good time!

Note: RAINOUT location for Friday night will be at the School. The band will be in the Old Gym, The booths and air conditioning will be inside the Cafeteria. As always thanks to the Allen School for always been so flexible and willing to help out with facilities.
