Posted in:

The current rankings came out and The Allen men sit at #7 in Class A, while the Lady Mustangs came it a #13. With District parings coming out Friday, we are excited we cracked the top 7, maybe we can separate ourselves from the other top teams and get in a good Area where we can see some new teams. Leading the boys in Class A are Caddo, Rattan and Vanoss, sitting at 1,2 & 3. On the girls’ side Seiling, Caddo and Vanoss are sitting atop that list.

The inaugural launching of Allen’s Basketball tournament, the “Winter Classic” drew pretty good crowds to support the eightteam field.

The Lady Mustangs opened their evening with game against Weleetka. At first the Lady Outlaws gave us all they wanted. Allen went into the locker room at half with a slim 22-20 lead. But the second half saw the Lady Mustangs limit Weleetka to nine points and pulled away with the 5329 win. Brooklyn poured in 17 from the post. Kaylee Davis added 10, Maggie Yarbrough 8, Cherish Woodward 7, Stoney Cully 3 and Maebrey Wallace 3.

The Allen men faced Wewoka and jumped out early and coasted in for the 72-30 win.
