“We should have one of the faster lineups around,” the coach noted. “Our goal is to put pressure on people from the first pitch and be in every ball game we play.”

Leaders Standing Out Among the team’s standouts are Seniors Addison Prentice and Cherish Woodward, who have earned high praise for their play and leadership.

“They’ve been phenomenal,” said the coach. “They’re great leaders on and off the field. I’d consider them both five-tool players— there’s really nothing they can’t do on the field.”

Whether it’s hitting for power, running the bases, or making plays on defense, the duo sets the tone for the team’s intensity and focus.

A Special Group With a strong preseason and a unified team culture, the coach believes this group is special.

“This has been one of the best groups of girls I’ve been around in my coaching career,” they said. “They’re tough, coachable, and have an incredible work ethic from top to bottom.”

With the season just around the corner, the Lady Mustangs are poised to compete— and to make some noise.
