The first game of the regional tournament for Allen was a 59-36 win over Weleetka. Allen never trailed in the game and outscored Weleetka every quarter. Allen’s edge came from outscoring Weleetka in the paint 38-12 and dominated the offensive glass with a 15-6 margin plus the 14 steals . A disasterous second quarter where Rattan oustcored allen 26-14 was a mountain the Mustangs couldn’t climb. Allen had several mini runs but couldn’t close out a win. Rattan stole the ball 18 times from the Mustangs. Although Allen outscored them 44-34 in the paint the points in transition was the difference.
