Three Allen High School football players were honored with Player of the Year awards when District A-7 coaches released their All-District teams for the 2024 season.

Bodee Garrett was named the A-7 Quarterback of the Year, Jake Matthews was named an Offensive Lineman of the Year and Gus Matthews was named a Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Garrett completed 105 of 239 passes for 1,310 yards with nine touchdowns during a solid senior season.

Two other AHS players received First Team honors. Noah Bray was a first-team selection on defense and running back Kayd Bell — who led the team with 330 yards rushing on 57 carries — was a first-team pick on offense. Bray registered 41 tackles in nine games for Allen.

The Mustangs also had a trio of secondteam defensive players: Curt Carlos, Cayser Nickell and Davion Byrd.
