Plans are underway for Allen’s annual Independence Celebration, set for Saturday, July 12th at Allen Park— and you won’t want to miss it!

• Parade: The festivities kick off with a parade down Main Street starting at 5:00 PM (line-up begins at 4:30 PM by Richmond Ave Church - by the park) Top 5 entrants win a cash prize!!

• Pool & Water Slide: The pool opens at 5:30 PM, and the water slide will be ready for brave riders! Waterslide courtesy of Define Your Direction.

We will start the festivities by giving thanks and then honor America with the singing of the National Anthem by some members of the Allen Elementary Choir and then ring the dinner bell.

• Food: At 6:00 PM, we’ll fire up the grill and serve up free hot dogs, chips, and drinks for everyone.

• Kids’ Games: Starting around 6:45 PM, we’ll have a full lineup of fun kids’ games— turtle race, threelegged race, egg carry, hula hoop contest, and more.

• Cornhole: Cornhole boards will be available if you’d like to toss a few bags.

• Raffle: We’ll have a raffle with prizes for the kids, so make sure to stick around!

• Music: DJ Craig Stone will be spinning the tunes all evening— bring your best dance moves!

• Fireworks: We’ll end the night with a spectacular fireworks show - Sponsored by Farmers State Bank.

Everything from the games, food, pool, and water slide is free for everyone. Vendors will be on-site with items available for purchase. If you’re interested in participating or setting up as a vendor, reach out and we’ll find a spot for you.

Let’s hope for cool, rain-free weather. Bring a lawn chair, your bathing suit and maybe some mosquito spray and join us for an evening of fun, food, and celebration!
