Allen Baseball and Softball Teams in Weleetka tournaments this week

The Allen baseball team was able to squeeze in a couple of games during spring break at the Wright City Festival.

Davis 14 Allen 5 Allen faced the Davis Wolves on Friday and dropped a 14-5 decision. The Mustangs took an early lead contest scoring two runs, one a hit by Jake Hisaw and a error against Davis. Davis answered with 2 run in the top of the second. Again the Mustangs picked up a run in their half of the inning, but Davis pulled away for in their half of the inning.

Allen had 4 hits in the game and scored 5 runs. Bodee Garret had a double in the game and Emmit Koonce, Garrett Nix and Becket Wells each had a stolen base. Koonce took the loss for the Mustangs giving up 3 runs on 2 hits in one and 2/3 innings, B Garrett, Wells and Tagus Howard each saw action from the mound.

Sterling 7 Allen 2 Allen lost the lead early and couldn’t recover. Alex Hill took the loss going 3 and 1/3 innings allowing 7 runs on 5 hits and striking out 4. Becket Wells came in and pitched 2 and 2/3 innings of relief.

Allen had 4 hits in the game with Hill and Conner Smith picking up 2.

Caddo 11 Allen 5 The Mustangs returned home to face Caddo in a marathon freezing cold 10 inning game.

The game remained knotted at 5 for 3 innings before Caddo exploded for 6 runs in their half of the 10th inning.

Allen had 5 hits in the game with Hisaw and Wells each having 2 and B Garrett picking up 1. Hisaw had a double in the first inning and picked up 3 rbi’s. Alex Hill and Conner Smith each had an RBI.

Garrett Nix was the starter pitching 4 innings allowing 4 hits and 5 runs, striking out 7. Tagus Howard took the loss in relief.

Tushka 3 Allen 0 Both teams had strong pitching performances. Allen starter Bodee Garrett recorded 18 outs but suffered the loss striking out 4 and walking 1. He was the victim of 2 errors.

Hisaw and Koonce each had a hit in the game. Hisaw and Kayd Bell each had a stolen base.

The team ends the week in the Weleetka Tournament. Rain is forecast for part of the tournament so watch Facebook posts for rainout listings.
