The only two officers serving in the Calvin Police Department resigned in a city council meeting this past week, citing a hostile work environment.

Calvin Police Chief Erica Holter and another officer were the only officers working for the department.

The town attorney said the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office will continue to patrol in that area while they work to make new hires for the department.
