AHS Softball Seniors Honored
Senior Night recognition for five Lady Mustang softball players was this past Tuesday evening, April 11th. These young ladies have not only contributed to this program but many other activities in their school. All these young ladies have played sports together all four years of their high school careers Macyee Davis is the daughter of Billy and Michele Davis and has one sister, Kaylee.
from Page 2 She has attended Allen since 3rd grade. Macyee plays in the outfield and wears the #6. Macyee says her most memorable moment was striking out in slow-pitch. Macyee’s future plans are to attend the Chickasaw Institute of Technology to become a CNA.
Brooklyn Sanders is the daughter of Greg and Sue Sanders and has one brother, Kylan. She has attended Allen since 2009. Brooklyn wears the number 12 and plays in the outfield for the Lady Mustangs. Brooklyn’s most memorable moment was when they went to Broken Bow and stayed at the cabin. She enjoyed hanging out with her team — they got to relax in the hot tub and hang out in the game room for quite a while. She also figured out that she’s not too bad at throwing darts. Her future plans are to attend East Central University and pursue a degree in biology.
Alexis Slabaugh has one brother, Damon, and is the daughter of Kevin and Dottie Slabaugh. She has attended Allen since she was a freshman. Alexis plays catcher and 1st base and wears #7. Her favorite memory was during Districts her sophomore year. She hit her first homerun ever and she had her head turned looking at the ball — she fell flat on her face onto first base but got right back up and laughed the whole way rounding the bases back to home plate. Alexis’s future plans include attending East Central University to complete her basics and then transferring to the University of Oklahoma to pursue her bachelor’s degree.
Maebrey Wallace is the daughter of Stan and Lisa Wallace and has one sister, Britten. She has attended Allen for 14 years. Maebrey wears #19 and plays at second base. Her most memorable moment is when she fell in the on-deck circle at Wetumka trying to get a bat—let’s just say steel cleats and concrete are not a good combination. Her future plans are to attend Eastern Oklahoma State College to pursue a degree in Agriculture Communications and then transfer to Oklahoma State University.
Maggie Yarbrough is the daughter of Jason and Christin Yarbrough and has one sister, Faith. She has attended Allen since her freshman year. She wears the number 21 and is a utility player for the Lady Mustangs. Her most memorable moment was when they were playing Tushka and Maggie was in the outfield. Lucky for her—a ball was hit to her, and it bounced off her glove and smacked her right in the forehead. Maggie plans to attend East Central University to finish her pre-requisites and then transfer to the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center to become an ultrasound tech.
