This Saturday, May 11th, letter carriers across central and western Oklahoma will collect nonperishable food donations from homes on their routes as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

The Allen Masonic Lodge will be holding a Mother’s Day dinner this Sunday, May 12th. This is a fundraiser with money raised being used to fund scholarships for Allen seniors.

Week of May 13th Monday

Holdenville was the second hardest hit city in a night of tornadoes across the state last Saturday, April 27th. Sirens sounded twice, warning locals to seek shelter. After the storms had passed, most of the city had lost power. Crews came quickly and had power restored by Sunday morning.
