May Allen City Council Meeting

The May meeting of the Allen Town Council met Monday for their regular meeting. All members, Joshua Marshall, Melinda Haney, Rhonda Skelton, Dianna Brannan, and Braylee Dickerson; were present. Guest included representatives from Colonial Life about life and injury policies for employees. Currently Allen employees are using Aflac, so the employees are going to discuss which company they want to use going forward. City Manager Calem Woodward, City Clerk Kala Stephens were joined by Pam Price, Glendene Griffin, Brenda Allen and Dot Sappenfield.

Masonic Breakfast Saturday

Join the Allen Masonic Lodge for breakfast Saturday, May 6th, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the Lodge on West Broadway. The breakfast fundraisers are held the first Saturday of each month with a menu of sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and coffee.

Rites held for Ninnie Elliott

Ninnie Mae (Woodall) Elliott passed away April 27, 2023 peacefully at her home of over 60 years, east of Calvin, Oklahoma, with her loving daughter, Hilda, who cared for her for many years, by her side. Ninnie was born March 16, 1926 in Amity, Arkansas. She was the fourth child to William Woodall and Hilder (Doster) Woodall.
