Services held for Wallace Davis

Wallace Junior Davis was born April 10, 1934 in Allen, Oklahoma. He departed this earth peacefully on August 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Wallace voluntarily served his country in the U.S. Navy. More importantly he served His Lord Jesus Christ in ministry for more than 40 years with The Church of God of Prophecy.

He married the love of his life, Ruth Mounce Davis and they were together nearly 60 years. They met at a state convention, quickly fell in love and nnar7ied. As a result, their marriage led them to serve God while raising a family and endeavoring to share the Gospel.

Wallace was a talented cement mason and contractor. He used these gifts while serving in ministry across the country as a bi-vocational pastor. He pastored in California, Hawaii, Washington, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Wallace planted multiple churches, and his greatest joy was sharing Jesus with anyone he met.

He fulfilled his retirement by spending time with his family and loved having everyone around him- Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Fannie Davis, and his sisters Wynema, Arlena and Kathryn.

He is survived by his wife Ruth and his children, Karen Davis, Lisa Davis Merrell and her husband Jason Merrell, and Michael Davis and his wife Regan Davis. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Nate of Lubbock, Texas, Anrna Moffett of Farmers Branch, Texas, Landon, Avery, Aubrey and Isaac of Magnolia, Texas, Kath n, and Will and Noah Merrell 

y of Nashville, Tennessee. Wallace was blessed over the last two years with four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 10:00 am Friday, August August lO, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa.
