On to the Semi finals

Both Allen teams came out with wins in the opening round of the North Rock Creek Pottowatomie County Tournament last Tuesday night.

The Lady Mustangs handled Asher easily and came out with the 50-28 win. Kinsey Nix 15, Calissa Childers, 12, Emily Sells 3, Kaylyn Rowsey 5, Maddie Clifford 2, Kinlee Cundiff 4, Brooklyn Sanders 5, Emma Peay 1 and Taylor Harrison 2

The win moved them into the semi fi nals Thursday at 7.

The Allen men had a fight on their hands with Earlsboro 49-38. They used a balanced scoring attack with Chad Milne 16, Gerrison Johnson 10, Nathan Hammonds 9, Rylan Black 9, Jaren Porter 5. With the win the Mustangs draw another late night game Thursday at 8:30

Last Thursday the Silo teams hit the Allen gym with the Allen men coming out with a 51-30 win. Currently Allen holds a 8-6 record. Chad Milne had a big game for the Mustangs pouring in 27 points. Garrison Johnson added 10, Rylan Black 6, Nathan Hammonds 3, Jaren Porter 5. “I think we are playing better right now, and we are getting some of our bench more experience which will pay off during playoff time,” said Coach Greg Mills.

In the girls contest, Silo showed No. 19 Allen why they are #2 into the Class 2A rankings with a lopsided 72-33 victory. The Lady Mustangs currently is 11-3. Calissa Childers scored 10, Kaylyn Rowsey 8, Kinlee Cundiff 6, Brooklyn Sanders 3, Emily Sells 2 Jaycee Watkins 4. “That Silo loss was hard to take, but all we can do is move forward so I glad to see us rebound with the win over Asher,” said Coach Dottie Slabaugh.

After the tournament this week the teams traveling to Latta on Tuesday and hosting Tupelo on Friday.
