Biden/Obama in November?

Posted in:

Many distractions this election year. The Democratic nominee—Biden— is now ‘gibbering’ press releases from his basement to the voting Democrats who are more concerned about COVID-19 than November--let me think about this. With Hillary Clinton still sitting around the house—in a sulk because she still thinks she won the last election—and with Biden already saying he will select a woman to be his running mate in the fall my thoughts turn to Michelle Obama.

So, just suppose that he does pick Michell Obama. They would immediately capture Bernie’s bunch and of course the black vote would not only favor this but vote for him and for her. Due to the press’s almost undying love for her they have a good chance of beating that “evil” man Trump. So, let’s suppose they do all this and get elected. Here’s what I think they will do—considering that our boy, 78-year-old Biden has not gotten any younger by next January. Here’s what could happen.

On January 25th , President Biden, along with his tearful wife, appear on National TV and together will (sobbingly) acknowledge that he will invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution which speaks to the problems of a president being mentally impaired and he will turn over the presidency to his Vice President, Michelle Obama. Barack, in an earlier response (to limber us up) has said that he would make a good Vice President since he knows where everything is in the White House is. After a comprehensive half day search by a select committee headed by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Barack is suggested and then named by Michelle as the country’s new Vice President. Done.

Back to the present. Unlike Putin of Russia and Biden (of his basement) who either has not said anything at all or just talks gibberish during this Pandemic, President Trump has seized the moment and along with the Governor of New York has been unable to shut up. I can see where the President deserves airtime for this Pandemic caused national emergency, but I find the Governor guy’s hours of ranting about everything Trump said and ordered to be not only unhelpful but an eye-rolling experience. To expand on this, let me say that the more you talk the more likely you are to say something stupid.

The Pope, on the other hand already knew this. Last week I observed a rather long period on CNN where the Pope was wandering somewhat aimlessly in the big church that Michelangelo built. Boy, that thing really looks big when empty. Well, it had the Pope. But he was silent. Later he said, “I pray that when this Corona Virus Pandemic gets by us that we will embrace equality and do away with bloodshed”. At least that’s what one of his spokesmen said he said. Maybe they didn’t want it to look like he had nothing to say about his empty church house. Better he kept his silence.

Speaking of the Pope, I spoke with Pastor Chad Kaminski last week about getting church going again down at the Baptist Church. He said that he wished it could start up in Early May but that it would probably be later. So, we wait. Pat and I have been watching our services on Facebook and as much as I appreciate their efforts it just “isn’t” as good as being there with the Church family. Pat and I have watched Sunday morning “preaching” on TV (Stanley and the like) and as proficient as they may be, again not so satisfying. I even watched some fire-breathers ripping up the airways, but I always get so distracted by their antics I forget to really listen. So there goes that.

Some of you probably know I have been hospitalized lately up at the VA. I had some problems with my heart and then had a “minor” stroke which affects the dexterity of my fingers on my right hand—which slows down my typing. But I’ll try to keep on with this and have appreciated the notes and calls this past week or so. Thanks.

And don’t forget to support your local church. They need your help during these trying times.
