Band, Cheer & Football Seniors Honored

Posted in:

Family and friends attended Mustang Senior Night 2019, honoring our senior football players, cheerleaders and band members in a pre-game ceremony on Friday, November 1st . These seniors have contributed much time and effort to make these programs excel, and Allen School is very proud of their accomplishments. Honored were:

Boone Brecheen, the son of Travis and Latisha Brecheen and Calie Bolin. Boone has three siblings and has attended Allen since he was a freshman. He wears #1 and plays wide receiver and cornerback for the Mustangs. His favorite memory of football was when Coach Caldwell did donuts in the bus after they won Districts their sophomore year. Boone’s future plans are to be determined at a later date.

Skyler Byrd is the son of Virginia Rodrigues and Clarence Rodrigues and has several siblings. This is his first year to attend Allen. He wears the #2 and plays the positions of wide receiver and defensive end. His most memorable moment was when he made his first tackle — it felt good to finally be out there with the boys. Skyler’s future plans include going to Texas A&M and becoming an aerospace engineer.

Calissa Childers is the daughter of Ashley Jameson and Wesley Cornelius and she has three siblings. She has attended Allen Schools for the past three years. Calissa has been our mascot, “Mustang Sally”, for the past two years. Her most favorite memory of cheer is going to Orlando, Florida. Her future plans are to be a welder on the pipeline.

Colton Dyer is the son of Randy and Rebecca Dyer and has one brother. He has attended Allen Schools since 2nd grade. He plays center and defensive end for the Mustangs and wears #53. His favorite memory of football is the time Coach Sanders stole a “rolley” chair because Coach Green wanted to sit on it. Colton’s future plans include attending OSU-IT and pursuing a degree in Natural Gas Compression.

Kimberly Garcia is the daughter of Martha Garcia and Luis Garcia and has two brothers. She has attended Allen for the past two years. Kimberly plays the clarinet and trumpet and is one of the band’s drum majors. Her favorite memory of band was last year during playoffs — it was so cold the whole band stayed under a big blanket. Kimberly’s future plans are to attend Northeastern Oklahoma State University and eventually become an optometrist.

Terrian Harris is the son of Savannah and Kenny Chapman. He has attended Allen for five years and has three siblings. Terrian wears #62 and plays defensive tackle for the Mustangs. Colton’s future plans include attending college pursuing an agricultural business degree.

Hannah Ivey is the daughter of John and Kathryn Ivey. Hannah has attended Allen for the past four years and has been a member of the cheer squad for the past two years. Her favorite memory was when they had sleepover at Ms. Plunk’s house last year and she made them sleep on the trampoline outside. Madison, Laramie and Hannah stayed awake all night and woke everyone else up at 6:00 the next morning — she thought they were going to kill her. Hannah’s future plans include attending the University of Oklahoma for her bachelor’s, then pursuing a law degree.

Brendan plays the bass drum, quad-tom, snare and cymbals and is also a drum major for the Mustang Band. His favorite memory of band was on the bus ride back from a contest. Connor, Kimberly and Brendan started making dumb jokes and none of them could stop laughing. Mr. Malm just looked at them with a very confused look on his face. His future plans are to attend Oklahoma State University and obtain degrees in physics and software engineering then begin work at SpaceX.

Kason Smith is the son of Khristi Smith and Kip Smith and has two siblings. He has attended Allen for six years. He plays quarterback for the Mustangs and wears the #14.
