The Allen gymnasium closed its High School career last Thursday in fine fashion. A PACKED house saw the Lady Mustangs and Mustangs picking up wins in fi rst round action of the Regional Tournament.

The Lady Mustangs were victorious over Talihina 49-40. Kinsey Nix led all scorers with 19 points. Allen held a 29-19 half time lead and cruised on for the win.

The Allen men started strong and went on to win77-55. Hunter Simpson had a huge night scoring 30 points including 7-8 from the free shot line.

The wins took the teams to Hartshorne for the Regional Championship game. The news wasnt as good as both teams added loss.

A very strong Hartshorn team took control early and went on to win 70-18.

The Allen men faced Rock Creek and battled hard into overtime before falling 52-49.

Expect another large crowd to follow the teams to Shawnee as the teams look for their shot at making the State Tournament. All it will take is three straight wins this week.
