The Allen Lady Mustangs were rained out of the Tupelo tournament last picking up a win 4-1 against Coleman and a loss to Bennington. The Lady Mustangs scored late in a 7-4 defeat to a good Strother team on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Allen batting in the top of the seventh when the Allen offense exploded for 3 runs. Allen racked up 11 hits in the game. Maddie Clifford, Riley Koonce, and Taylen Mason all managed multiple hits for Allen. Cliffor led Allen with three hits in four at bats.

Mason and Koonce each picked up 2 RBI’s and Savanna Yetter had one. Allen stranded 6 runners in the contest. Koonce picked up the win. She gave up 4 hits and struck 2.

Next up for Allen is a trip to Roff on Tuesday and then back to Roff for a tournament starting next Thursday.
