The inaugural season in the new gym ended last Thursday hosting a Regional contest to a large Allen contingent of fans. Both teams fell to Luther but traveled to Dale on Friday and Saturday and getting back on the winning track to rack up the Regional Consolation trophy

The Lady Mustangs defeated Hworth 46-30 and Ninnekah 52-35. The Allen men rolled over Dibble 53-48 and Ninnekah 55-47.

“We are playing hard right now, we had a little dry spell in the Ninnekah game but we kept battling. Finally our hard work and calm confidence helped us pull out the win. Thursday we face Vanoss who we have faced 2 other times. We have been working on some new plays and I think we will bring the best game we have against them,” said Coach Greg Mills.

“I am so proud of my girls,” said Coach Dottie Slabaugh. After the loss to Luther a lot of teams would of just rolled over, but we did not. I see a lot of determination in these girls and you never know who you can knock of if you believe you can.”

Allen fans have always been faithful to travel and support the teams and with such a short trip to Ada the teams would love to play in front of a large ‘home crowd’. So bring your $5 to get in, grab your popcorn and get ready to cheer on the Mustangs!
