Pontotoc County will be having a countywide election on September 9th to decide whether or not to increase the County Sales Tax by One-Eighth of One Percent (0.125%). The additional money will be used to fund the general operations of Pontotoc County.

Earlier this summer, Shane Rinehart was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. While he continues to work hard in rehab, Shane is unable to work and will be recovering for some time.
