Here Comes Joe!

Posted in:

President Trump can probably relax now. His path to a 2nd term was just made easier by his old pal Joe Biden. He doesn’t have to call him “Sleepy Joe” or other names anymore. Biden and many of his running mate Democrats have already pretty much done themselves in. Last week the former VP laid out some of his plans for making America even greater again. Joe has promised not to accept any campaign funds from any companies that have any connection with “fossil fuel production.” Well, that takes care of hundreds of millions of campaign dollars that might have been used in getting Joe elected.

Mr. Biden went right on to say he was going to make America totally free of petroleum powered transportation. All cars will be electric. All electricity for household use, transportation or energy uses will be produced by renewable sources, such as wind or sunshine. The buildup of the rail system in America would be extensive and complete. No diesel powered trains would be allowed. Just what kind of engines would be used on airplanes (if any) is presently unknown, but their power will have to be something other than gas or jet fuel powered. All this is to be completed before 2050. Atomic Energy? Biden and his warmer friends give it token lip service and that’s all.

All this is being done to curry favor with the left wingers whose ideology goes something like this. “Global Warming is going to kill off life on the earth, sooner than later, so drastic measures must be taken now.” With nothing to lose these thoughtful people feel that they are the “grownups” and must at least try to save us from ourselves. And, they believe, global warming will soon reach a point where most of the fi sh in the seas, polar bears in the north, the fowl that we eat and on and on will die off and do so quickly. Gassy cattle will have to go too and guns for hunting will be outlawed. Hand powered can openers will be popular Christmas presents.

Yes, we have a chance to survive, according to Joe Biden, if we can get this all done before 2050, but it can’t just be done piecemeal. “We have to start now.” Eliminating the world’s entire oil industry will throw a lot of people out of work and cause some economic problems but we are a powerful economic power and we will be there to help you, says Joe. Hillary said the same thing to the coal miners in her losing bid to be our fi rst woman president. If the miners, by refusing to buy into global warming, blocked her presidential bid, then what happens when all the oil workers, auto workers and aircraft industry are cut out of your votes. That’s what he’s doing.

Can Biden and the liberals off-set these lost votes with promises of free health care for all, free tuition to our nation’s colleges and universities while completely eliminating homelessness and poverty?

And who will cough up the money for all this? The government. Milennial’s say we just need to print more money and spend it on global warming and, of course, the poor people — which will include most all of us. Wow! What a relief to know that.

I hope all of you have a good week and can make it to church this next Sunday.
