The Lady Mustangs had a pretty successful week, picking up 3 runrule wins and a loss to Stuart.

Last Thursday Milburn came to town and Allen came up with a 17-0 shutout. The Lady Mustangs scored 17 runs on 10 hits. Kaylee Davis picked up the 3 inning win striking out 7 and giving up 2 hits. The Mustangs took 2 innings to knot the score at 2. Then the Mustang bats came to life scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning to secure the 12-2 run rule. Kaylee Davis and Cherish Woodward shared the pitching duties with Woodward picking up the win. Davis also had the hot bat going 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Lily Matthews went 2 for 2 and 3 RBI’s. Cherish Woodward drove in one when Woodward doubled. In the bottom of the first inning, Varnum tied things up at two when they scored one run. The Lady Mustangs pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Woodward drew a walk, scoring one run, Kaylee Davis doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Maebery Wallace singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Allen notched five runs in the fourth inning. Allen Lady Mustangs Varsity scored its runs on an RBI walk by Davis. Woodward led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Allen Lady Mustangs Varsity. The pitcher surrendered three runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out four.

Allen saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Addison Prentice, Wallace, Davis, Stoney Culley, and Brooklyn Sanders all managed multiple hits. Wallace and Prentice each collected three hits to lead Allen.

SB: Stoney Culley, Addison Prentice, Maebrey Wallace Stuart Lady Hornets Varsity Defeats Allen In High-Scoring Affair Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Tuesday in a high-scoring affair when Stuart defated Allen, 15-7.

Stuart Lady Hornets Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Macyee Davis threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Stuart Lady Hornets Varsity.

Allen scored three runs in the fourth inning. Allen’s big inning was driven by a walk by Brooklyn Sanders and by Kaylee Davis.

Haili Igou led the Stuart Lady Hornets Varsity to victory in the pitcher’s circle. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while striking out four.

Davis took the loss for Allen. The bulldog allowed nine hits and 11 runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Allen collected five hits on the day. C Woodward and A Prentice each collected multiple hits for Allen. Allen stranded 7 base runners in the contest.
