Allen Mustangs Claw Back, But Fall Just Short Against Stuart

The Allen Mustangs‘s effort to come back from down six runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 8-7 to Stuart on Tuesday.

Allen Mustangs couldn’t keep up with Stuart early in the game.

Stuart took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Jack Todd induced Stuart to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, they doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, and a second doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Allen Mustangs scored four runs in the seventh inning. Garrett Nix, Koonce, Hisaw, and Alex Hill all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Todd led the inning off with a single

Hisaw went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Allen Mustangs in hits a double and a single. Bodee Garrett, Alex Hill, Jake Hisaw, Emmett Koonce, and Kason Walker each had RBI’s. The Mustangs stole 6 bases in the contest, Todd 2, Hisaw, Koonce, Walker and Becket Wells each had one.
