The Mustangs gave Rock Creek all they wanted in the district tournament last week. The losses end the season for the Mustangs; however they have a full Summer season just around the corner. Expect good things from this team next season.

Walk-Off Seals District championship For Rock Creek Against Allen in 10 innings

A walk-off left the Mustangs on the wrong end of a 13-12 defeat to Rock Creek on Saturday. The game was tied at 12 with Rock Creek batting in the bottom of the tenth when Patrick Ingram singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Allen collected seven hits and Rock Creek had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Allen Mustangs got things started in the first inning. The Mustagns scored 7 runs in the first inning. They went into the 4th inning holding an 8-1 lead. In the middle of the seventh inning the Mustangs were ahead 12-7 when Rock Creek found the basepaths and scored 5 runs to knot the game at 12. The teams battled 3 more innings before Rock Creek slipped in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th.

Kale Horton was on the pitcher’s mound for Allen Mustangs . The hurler surrendered six runs on three hits over three and a third innings, striking out one. Jack Todd, Emmett Koonce, and Becket Wells each contributed in relief for Allen Mustangs .

Mustangs Holds Onto Victory

Despite seeing its seven-run lead whittled down by the end, Allen still held off Rock Creek for a 9-8 victory on Friday. Rock Creek tallied five runs in the failed comeback. Zander Craige, Lex Jestis, Patrick Ingram, Kolyn Dawson, and Clay Dale Stoner picked up RBIs to lead the rally.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Allen Mustangs collected seven hits and Rock Creek had six.

Allen Mustangs got on the board in the first inning when Jake Hisaw doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Garrett went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Allen Mustangs in hits.

Mustangs Can’t Catch Up To Rock Creek

The Mustangs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-3 loss to Rock Creek on Friday.

Jack Todd took the loss for Allen Mustangs . The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Alex Hill started the game for Allen. Hill lasted five innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out four
