The Allen Power Lifters earned the title of Class A Southeast Regional Champions at Broken Bow this past weekend. State competition will be held Saturday, March 14 , at the El Reno High School.

The end of basketball is always rough, but this year it seemed to hit everyone pretty hard.

Coach Greg Mills gave his team encouragement following the loss to Velma-Alma in the opening round of Regional play.

The local ladies entered the Class A Regional Tournament in the consolation bracket Saturday afternoon, February 20, and came out with a first round 43- 31 win over the Stonewall Lady Longhorns. This came after a District loss to Quinton.

A record was set for the Allen Mustangs on Tuesday evening during the Regional Basketball Tournament. Senior Chad Milne scored his 2000 point with 1:03 left in the second quarter during the game against Talihina. It is believed that Chad now holds Allen’s scoring crown for his career.

We will not be handing out vouchers for Saturday. Seating will be designated to meet the 50% capacity mandate. We ask that fans sit on designated sides that will be marked in the lobby.

The district tournament is still scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Allen, but with a time change.

Allen High School Principal Chris Grimm and Elementary School Principal Amy Mayhue were hired back Monday at the regular meeting of Allen School Board.

Allen will be hosting Area IV District and first round Regional games. In District play, on Friday, February 12 , Quinton and Haileyville will face off, the girls at 6:00, boys at 8:00 pm.
